US1100 Shrink

The new induction shrink machine from Diebold has been installed at Fort Vale Engineering in their Burnley plant. World leaders in the design and manufacture of valves and fittings for transportable tanks, they use state of the art machines and support technologies to be the best. Faced with a tooling issue they approached Kelch UK to supply a solution. After analysing the problem and proposing a solution, the new US1100 induction shrink machine along with TER shrink collets were purchased.

Andy Bryce - Director of innovation accepted the proposed solution and has found it works well. Matthew Woodstock - Engineering Manager was very complimentary of the support during install, commissioning and staff training supplied by Kelch UK.

Turning turret machines using a direct collet tool holding benefit from the TER shrink system. Set programs and holding devices for the collets allow the tools to be shrunk and length adjusted. US1100 has a newly designed enclosed cooling system and coil with Pyrometer technology to monitor closely the heating process. This technology prevents overheating that could damage tools and the coil.
